School Consultation
Upon the parents’ request, our BCBAs will:
-
Review your child’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) to ensure it aligns with their specific needs.
-
Evaluate the appropriateness of the goals set for your child, as well as the effectiveness of the procedures and accommodations currently in place.
-
Provide meaningful feedback to the family to ensure clarity and direction.
BCBAs (Board-Certified Behavior Analysts) also play a key role in attending IEP meetings, offering valuable insights by comparing goals, collaborating with the school team, and recommending strategies that can be implemented in the classroom setting.
Additionally, BCBAs are qualified to conduct classroom observations, followed by detailed observation reports that are shared with both the family and school team, ensuring a unified approach to your child’s development and success.

FAQ
Do we have a waiting list?
We do not have a waitlist because we do not want families waiting for services. We are always recruiting and training new talent, so feel free to check back and see if availability has opened up after some time.
Do we use the VB-MAPP and/or provide VB instruction?
Yes! The majority of our therapists utilize the VB-MAPP assessment to assess children with deficits in the area of communication. The assessment is then used to create the communication goals needed and VB instruction is utilized to teach those skills. Learn more about the VB-MAPP here.

How Does In-Home ABA Therapy Work?
In-home ABA therapy helps people with autism and other challenges by teaching important skills in a familiar place—their home. A specialist, called a BCBA, starts by figuring out what the person needs and creates a plan with clear goals. A trained helper, called an RBT, works with the person during fun and interactive sessions to teach things like communication, social skills, and good behavior. Families are involved too, learning ways to support progress between sessions.
The therapy focuses on making sure the skills learned at home can be used in other places, like school or during outings. Progress is tracked through notes and data, and the plan is updated regularly to keep things on track. Supervised by the BCBA, in-home ABA therapy is a flexible way to help people build life skills and reach their goals.
How long do children typically need ABA therapy?
This is really determined on a child-by-child basis and cannot be determined by anyone but the BCBA and treatment team working with your child. ABA is an on-going therapy that can change and grow with your child to cater to their ever-changing needs as they continue to grow older.
