Center-Based ABA Therapy
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy supports children in developing key life skills, including effective communication, forming friendships, and managing daily routines—all within a positive and encouraging environment.
ABA is particularly helpful for children with autism, as it emphasizes learning new, beneficial behaviors while addressing challenges that may affect learning or social interaction. This approach equips children with the confidence and skills they need to grow, explore, and thrive at their own pace.
Early Beginnings
At Verbal Beginnings, we understand that the early years (ages 1.5–6) are a crucial period for children with autism and other developmental differences. That’s why our programs focus on building strong foundations that support every aspect of a child’s growth.
We emphasize essential early skills—such as language, communication, independent play, and social interaction—helping children gain the abilities they need to thrive both in the classroom and in everyday life.

FAQ
Do we have a waiting list?
We don’t maintain a waitlist because we want families to access services without delay. If you reach out and we’re not able to offer care in your area at that time, we’ll provide resources to help you connect with available providers nearby. Since we’re constantly hiring and training new team members, we encourage you to check back later to see if openings have become available.
Do we use the VB-MAPP and/or provide VB instruction?
Yes! The majority of our therapists utilize the VB-MAPP assessment to assess children with deficits in the area of communication. The assessment is then used to create the communication goals needed and VB instruction is utilized to teach those skills. Learn more about the VB-MAPP here.
What does the process of beginning services look like?
View our ABA Therapy Process page for a detailed guide.
How long do children typically need ABA therapy?
This is really determined on a child-by-child basis and cannot be determined by anyone but the BCBA and treatment team working with your child. ABA is an ongoing therapy that can change and grow with your child to cater to their ever-changing needs as they continue to grow older.
What services do you provide in-center at Chantilly?
