Center-Based ABA Therapy
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy helps children build important life skills—from communicating effectively and forming friendships to navigating everyday routines—all in a supportive, engaging setting.
ABA is especially valuable for children with autism because it focuses on teaching helpful new behaviors while reducing barriers that may affect learning or social connection. Through this approach, children gain the skills and confidence they need to develop, explore, and thrive at a pace that’s right for them.
Early Beginnings
At Verbal Beginnings, we know that the earliest years (ages 1.5–6) are critical for children with autism and other developmental differences. That’s why our focus is on laying strong foundations that support the child as a whole.
Our programs target key early skills—like language, communication, independent play, and social interaction—ensuring children develop the tools they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.

FAQ
Do we have a waiting list?
We don’t keep a waitlist because we never want families to be stuck waiting for support. If you reach out and we’re unable to offer services in your area at that moment, we’ll share helpful resources and connect you with providers who do have openings. Since we’re continuously recruiting and onboarding new team members, we encourage you to check back periodically to see if availability has changed.
Do we use the VB-MAPP and/or provide VB instruction?
Yes! The majority of our therapists utilize the VB-MAPP assessment to assess children with deficits in the area of communication. The assessment is then used to create the communication goals needed and VB instruction is utilized to teach those skills. Learn more about the VB-MAPP here.
What does the process of beginning services look like?
View our ABA Therapy Process page for a detailed guide.
How long do children typically need ABA therapy?
This is really determined on a child-by-child basis and cannot be determined by anyone but the BCBA and treatment team working with your child. ABA is an ongoing therapy that can change and grow with your child to cater to their ever-changing needs as they continue to grow older.
What services do you provide in-center at Chantilly?
