Verbal Beginnings wants to be your choice for early intervention comprehensive autism services! That means a collaborative approach to therapy that covers a wide range of services to help children on the autism spectrum. We know that the topic of comprehensive services and ABA therapy can raise some questions so here are some quick Q/A’s about what Verbal Beginnings provides when it comes to autism services for children.
How are Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy integrated into ABA Therapy?
Our teams of Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) all work together to provide collaboration, skill development, and coordination of care. That means we’re all working together as part of your team instead across different providers that don’t connect with each other. Our SLPs and OTs incorporate principles of ABA in their services and closely collaborate with your child’s ABA team.
Does insurance cover Speech and OT like it does for ABA Therapy?
Yes! In fact, the process for requesting Speech and/or Occupational Therapy services is similar to that of ABA. Our Finance Department coordinates with the Comprehensive Services Department and our families to ensure that all documentation needed for an insurance authorization are complete. The great news for parents is that you’ll work with one team at Verbal Beginnings who can keep you informed (and advocate for you) when it comes to your insurance provider.
Are these services available for all Verbal Beginnings centers?
Yes! Comprehensive Services are available at all of our autism centers with all these services occurring onsite.
